When Josh in Petersburg Ontario was looking for a workshop a few years ago he wasn’t thinking that a nearby tree would send hundreds of pounds of wood crashing down on his building, but 3 years later that’s exactly what happened.

Thankfully Josh chose one of our steel buildings over a wood alternative and here’s what he had to say in an email after the incident…

I bought and installed one of your buildings about 2 or 3 years ago. A few weeks ago I had a tree fall on it. Here are some pictures of the tree that fell on my building unfortunately the pictures don’t do it justice it’s worst in person.

I have only just got the tree off to evaluate the damage and I was already impressed with the quality of your buildings (company all around) but WOW not even a small ding! This building is awesome. If I had built the other option I was considering I would be re-building it right now. I 100% back your product and customer service (including sales, product and customer support).

Our engineers have always known the benefits of our arch design (one of the strongest shapes) coupled with 100% Galvalume Plus steel (one of the strongest construction materials) but it’s still great to see proof of it outside of the lab and hear from our customers who couldn’t be happier with their building choice.

The choice between steel and wood seems obvious to us (see pictures), but if you’re still debating what your future building is going to be then hopefully this will help you make the right decision.
